Independent consumer champion for Reading residents using health and social care services.
Healthwatch Reading gathers patient feedback on local NHS and social care services and feeds it back to commissioners, providers and the Care Quality Commission. The service is delivered by The Advocacy People. The team has recently published an evaluation of Readings Community Wellness Outreach Programme, which addresses low NHS Health Check uptake of just 6 percent of eligible residents in 2022 to 23. Residents can join surveys, volunteer or take part in an advisory group.
