Hertfordshire Action on Disability (HAD), trading as Herts Ability, is based at The Woodside Centre in Welwyn Garden City. The Equipment Centre lets people see, try and buy walking sticks, mobility scooters, wheelchairs, rise-and-recline chairs and bathing and household products. The Mobility Centre runs weekday driving assessments for older and disabled drivers and advises on car adaptations. Other services include accessible community transport and counselling for adjustment to disability. Driving line 01707 384263.
