Home-Start UK supports parents of under-5s through trained volunteers offering free practical and emotional in-home family support.
Home-Start UK is a leading family support charity created in 1973 and now active across the UK through more than 200 local Home-Starts. Around 9,000 volunteers, including 13,500 home-visiting volunteers, last year supported 76,750 children and 58,938 families. Trained volunteers provide free practical and emotional in-home support to parents of children under five experiencing isolation, post-natal illness, bereavement or other challenges. Local Home-Starts also run family groups and parenting programmes.
