Hospitality and Hope is one of South Tynesides longest-running food poverty and homelessness charities, supporting local people for 25 years. From its Hampden Street base it runs the South Tyneside Food Bank, three community shops where members can buy 11 items for 5 pounds, a charity shop, supported housing, wellbeing services and outreach. The foodbank is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am-12pm and is staffed entirely by volunteers.
