Trauma-informed support for Black and minority ethnic women and girls in Hull facing abuse, FGM, trafficking or hardship.
Hull Sisters is a specialist, women-led charity working with Black and minority ethnic women and girls in Hull and East Riding. Trauma-informed support covers domestic abuse, honour-based violence, FGM, trafficking, forced marriage, immigration and discrimination, alongside ESOL classes (levels 1-3), employability and CV writing, IT and maths classes, sewing, cooking, henna and yoga sessions. The centre sees 100-150 women a day and has worked with over 2500 women since 2012.
