Free specialist therapy and advocacy for children and young people affected by child sexual abuse or domestic abuse.
Imara is a Nottingham childrens charity established in 2010 that has helped over 2,200 young people and more than 1,500 families. In 2023-24 it delivered 3,187 therapy sessions plus 3,250 hours of CHISVA advocacy guiding young people through the criminal justice process, including 1,750 hours of joint work with police, social workers and schools. Services include art, dance, movement and music therapy for survivors of sexual and domestic abuse aged 0 to 18, post-adoption support and professional training. The site has a Quick Exit button and works with over 40 partners including BBC Children in Need.
