Volunteer-led good neighbour scheme based in Saxmundham helping with food and fuel poverty, loneliness and support for young families across IP17.
IP17 Good Neighbour Scheme is a Saxmundham-based charity (reg. 1188755) set up in 2020 to support around 5,000 residents across Saxmundham and Kelsale-cum-Carlton. More than 100 volunteers help with prescription and shopping deliveries, a phone-buddy system, gardening, transport to medical appointments, emergency food parcels and group activities tackling loneliness and food poverty. The office is at The Gannon Rooms, Station Approach, Saxmundham IP17 1BW, open 10am-2pm Tuesday to Friday.

Not suitable for: Only covers IP17 postcodes. People in other rural Suffolk villages should ask Community Action Suffolk for their nearest Good Neighbour Scheme.
