Support, mentoring and learning for young refugees and asylum seekers in Kent.
Kent Refugee Action Network (KRAN, reg. 1097886) supports unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people aged 16-26 who arrive in Kent alone. The Learning for Life education programme - described by KRAN as the only one of its kind in the UK - equips young asylum seekers with the skills they need to enter college. Other services include mentoring and befriending with community volunteers, advocacy and casework, mental health support, plus activities and youth outreach. Call 01227 634320.
