The Linskill Centre is a thriving North Shields community hub run by an asset-transfer charity since 2006. With over 260,000 visitors a year, the centre houses a community cafe, nursery, weekly activities programme and dozens of community groups and tenants. EngAGE is their flagship older adults programme with weekly social groups including The Woollies craft group, Tai Chi, creative writing, Art Appreciation, Page Turners Book Club and a film club. Affordable room hire supports clubs and community organisations.
