Community-led research, training and heritage work celebrating Liverpool s Black community.
Liverpool Black History Research Group is a community-led collective based at the Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre in Toxteth. It investigates Liverpool s long Black presence, the city s historical links to the slave economy and the contributions of people of African descent. The group offers workshops in archival research and walking tours, trains community researchers, and partners with National Museums Liverpool and the City Council on heritage projects including the Slavery Heritage Plaques scheme.
