Statutory housing advice and homelessness prevention service for Maldon District residents.
Maldon District Council is the statutory housing authority providing advice and homelessness prevention for District residents. Where someone is at risk of homelessness within 56 days, the team develops a Personal Housing Plan under the Prevention Duty, which can include referral to specialist debt advice or mediation; if homelessness cannot be prevented, the Relief Duty applies for up to 56 days. The team also helps with domestic abuse and rough sleeping (call 01621 854477 or contact CHESS), and runs a Deposit Bond scheme. Council Offices, Princes Road, Maldon CM9 5DL.
