Free practical and emotional support for unpaid carers in Manchester, including advice, drop-ins, respite grants and social activities.
Manchester Carers Centre, an independent voluntary organisation established in 1997 and a Carers Trust Network Partner, supports unpaid carers across the city. Services are free and include information and advice on benefits, finance and rights as a carer, emotional support, community drop-ins, respite grants, social activities and training. Specialist projects work with young carers, parent carers, BAME carers and carers of people with mental health needs or dementia. Carers can self-refer; family, friends and professionals can also make a referral.
