The Margaret Centre is an 11-bed specialist palliative care unit on the Whipps Cross University Hospital site, opened in 1987 and now run by Barts Health NHS Trust. It is the only end-of-life care unit for Waltham Forest residents and combines a calm, hospice-like environment with on-site hospital diagnostics for symptom control and end-of-life care.
