MindOut is a mental health service run by and for LGBTQ+ people, based at 2 St Andrews Place, Southover Road, Lewes BN7 1UP (call 0300 772 9855). Services include advice and information, advocacy, counselling, peer support groups, peer mentoring, telephone befriending, suicide prevention resources and dedicated work for trans and gender-diverse people and those over 50. A live online chat staffed by LGBTQ+ volunteers runs Monday and Tuesday 3-5pm and Wednesday 3-5pm, available nationally, while most in-person support is for adults in Sussex.
