Charity helping people in Manchester out of poverty and homelessness with food, clothing, furniture, training, mentoring and employment support.
Mustard Tree has been working with people experiencing poverty and homelessness in Greater Manchester since 1994. From its Ancoats centre and satellite hubs in Eccles and Little Hulton it offers a Freedom Project that combines emergency provision (food, clothing, furniture) with progression activities such as life skills, training, volunteering, education and routes into employment. People can self-refer or be referred by professionals; the shop offers low-cost essentials. Staff and volunteers also run wellbeing groups, financial literacy and employability workshops alongside one-to-one mentoring.
