Network of warm spaces and Wellbeing Hubs across Newcastle providing free hot drinks, signposting and activities during cost-of-living pressures.
The Newcastle Wellbeing Hubs network was established by Newcastle City Council in response to the cost of living crisis. Over 90 community organisations have signed up as hubs, opening their doors to provide warm, safe, welcoming spaces with free hot drinks, food and signposting to advice and support. Many hubs run activities such as crafts, learning sessions and exercise groups to combat isolation. The network operates year-round in libraries, community centres and faith buildings, with extra winter capacity through council grant funding.
