Trussell-network foodbank operating from seven Newcastle centres for people in food crisis.
Newcastle West End Foodbank is one of the UKs busiest Trussell-network foodbanks. Founded in 2013, it provides emergency food parcels and signposting from seven centres across Newcastle, including its hub in Benwell. People access support via referral vouchers from GPs, social services, health workers, schools, police, Newcastle City Council and partner charities. Volunteers also help users address underlying problems including debt, homelessness risk and addiction by connecting them with specialist services.
