Self-refer online for NHS midwife-led antenatal care without needing a GP referral. Enter your postcode to find your local maternity service and book your first appointment.
You can refer yourself directly to NHS pregnancy (antenatal) care in England without going through your GP. Use the NHS website, enter your postcode, town or city to find local NHS trusts offering maternity services, choose a trust and complete their online referral form. The maternity team will then contact you to book your first midwife appointment, aiming for by 10 weeks of pregnancy. You can change trust at any time. People with long-term conditions or on medication should also speak to their GP or specialist.
