NHS Hertfordshire and Mid Essex Talking Therapies, part of Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust, offers free and confidential talking therapy and practical support for adults aged 18+ registered with a GP in Mid Essex including Braintree, Chelmsford, Maldon and surrounding areas. The service treats common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression with cognitive behavioural therapy, counselling and the SilverCloud online platform. You can self-refer online without going through your GP; an administrator will then arrange a 45-minute telephone assessment with a clinician.
