NHS Stop Smoking Services offer free local support for people in England wanting to quit, with one-to-one, group, drop-in, phone or video appointments at GP surgeries, pharmacies and mobile clinics. Trained advisers can supply nicotine replacement therapy at around a third cheaper than buying it, plus prescriptions for varenicline or bupropion. Advisers also support people choosing to use e-cigarettes. The England helpline is 0300 123 1044. With support, people are up to 3 times more likely to quit successfully. Anyone can self-refer.
