24-hour support, refuge, IDVA and ISVA services for anyone over 14 affected by domestic or sexual abuse in Newcastle.
NIDAS provides trauma-informed support to anyone aged 14 or older affected by sexual or domestic abuse in Newcastle, regardless of gender or whether the crime has been reported. The service is delivered by Changing Lives in partnership with Action for Children and Rape Crisis. Provision includes a 24-hour helpline, purpose-built refuge accommodation with 14 self-contained flats for women and children, dedicated childrens workers, outreach, IDVA advocacy for high-risk adults, and ISVA support around the criminal justice system.
