Trussell-network foodbank providing emergency food and signposting across Workington, Whitehaven, Cockermouth, Keswick and Maryport.
North Lakes Foodbank is a community project providing emergency food parcels to people in crisis across West Cumbria. Founded in 2010 and part of the Trussell network, it operates centres in Workington (Bridge Centre), Whitehaven (New Life Church), Cockermouth (Lorton Street Methodist) and other towns. Food parcels are accessed by voucher from referral partners such as GPs, Citizens Advice and housing officers. Volunteers also signpost to debt, energy and benefits support.
