VODA (Voluntary Organisations Development Agency) has supported community groups in North Tyneside for over 30 years. From their Wallsend Community Hub base they offer free advice, training and funding support to small charities, plus a borough-wide volunteer brokerage matching residents to local opportunities. VODA also coordinates social prescribing across North Tyneside, connecting GP-referred patients with community activities to tackle loneliness, improve mental health and build confidence.
