Northampton Samaritans is the local branch of the national charity offering free, confidential emotional support to anyone in distress, struggling to cope or feeling suicidal. The 24-hour helpline (116 123) is staffed by trained volunteers. They also reply to letters and emails and offer face-to-face support by appointment from their branch on Margaret Street. The Northampton branch works with the suicide prevention steering group across Northamptonshire.
