Council-run service for unpaid carers in Oldham offering assessments, benefits and emergency support.
Oldham Carers Service operates from the Link Centre on Union Street and provides free practical and emotional support for unpaid carers across the borough. The team can carry out statutory Carers Assessments, advise on benefits, mobility aids and assistive technology and operate the Oldham Carers Emergency Support Scheme (OCESS) which gives short-term cover in a crisis. Carers can also join activities, talks, training and peer support groups.
