Open Hands runs the Compassion Centre in Leicester city. They provide a free hot meal called Pie Night every Tuesday evening with no referral needed, an Essentials Hub giving free or low cost food, clothing, bedding and household goods on referral, and a furniture service for people setting up a home. They also run skills development courses and one to one mentoring. Referrals come from support workers, doctors, faith leaders, teachers and other professionals.
