Free drug and alcohol recovery service for adults 25+ across Chelmsford, Braintree, Witham and Maldon, with 1:1 support, groups and harm reduction.
The Open Road Chelmsford Centre at Mansard House is a recovery-orientated drug and alcohol service open Monday-Friday with outreach in Witham, Maldon and Braintree. Anyone can self-refer online, by phone or by walking in for an initial assessment Monday to Wednesday 9.30am-12pm, after which they are allocated a Recovery Worker. The centre runs a daily Needle and Syringe Programme (no appointment needed) and weekly mutual aid groups including SMART Recovery, Active Change, Relapse Prevention, Brunch Club and the women-only Hope Course delivered by Big Love.
