Parkinsons UK North Durham Branch offers information, friendship and peer support to local people living with Parkinsons, their families and carers. The group runs a weekly exercise class on Tuesdays from 1pm to 2.30pm, monthly support meetings on the last Friday of the month from 1pm to 3.30pm, and a dedicated carers meeting at Newton Hall Community Centre. The national helpline (0808 800 0303) also offers nurse-led emotional and practical support.
