Volunteer-run outdoor swimming pool in Lewes with Swims for Wellbeing social prescribing scheme.
Pells Pool is the oldest freshwater outdoor public pool in the UK, run as a not-for-profit community charity in Lewes. It supports wellbeing through affordable swimming, early-morning lane swims and longer family sessions, with advance booking online or at the kiosk. A new Pells Sauna is being added to the site. The pool partners with Foundry Healthcare on the Swims for Wellbeing GP referral scheme to socially prescribe outdoor swimming for Lewes patients.
