Charity supporting refugees, asylum seekers and migrants in Penrith and Eden with advice, language classes and First Steps housing.
Penrith and Eden Refugee Network (PERN) empowers refugees, asylum seekers and migrants to settle and thrive in Cumbria. Based at Mostyn Hall in Penrith the team offers language classes, IAA-regulated immigration advice up to Level 3, homelessness prevention, campaigning and community events. The First Steps Housing service includes a Rent a Room scheme matching socially-minded landlords with newly-recognised refugees in Carlisle and West Cumbria. Drop-in sessions run weekly in Carlisle.
