Trained agents supporting older people and carers across rural Essex to identify needs, access community help and stay independent.
Community Agents Essex, run by the Rural Community Council of Essex as part of the Essex Wellbeing Service, is a free home-visiting service for people who are older, have a disability or are in a caring role. A network of agents based in local communities visit at home to develop independent living solutions - finding clubs and groups to reduce isolation, supporting form-filling, and assessing the home for falls-prevention equipment. All referrals now go through Essex Wellbeing Service on 0300 303 9988 (Mon-Fri 8am-7pm, Sat 10am-2pm).
