Redbridge CVS Social Prescribing Service
Social Connection & Community · Charity/Voluntary Organisation · Redbridge
Borough-wide social prescribing service run by Redbridge CVS in partnership with the council and ICB, with Link Workers and Health Buddies supporting residents.
Run by Redbridge CVS since 2016 in partnership with Redbridge Council and the NHS, the Social Prescribing Service offers a 12-week intervention delivered by trained Link Workers (Social Prescribing Advisors). They work with patients to build a personalised action plan to access community services, with Health Buddies providing flexible practical support including accompanying patients to activities. The service has been recognised for reducing anxiety and depression, with strong NHS return on investment.
