Culturally sensitive mental health support for Black African, Caribbean and dual-heritage communities in Sandwell.
The Sandwell African Caribbean Mental Health Foundation (SACMHF), also known as the Kuumba Foundation, started in 1994 as a four-hour-a-week drop-in for Black people in Sandwell affected by mental ill health. It now operates from the Kuumba Centre, Boulton Road, West Bromwich B70 6NW, delivering culturally responsive counselling, support groups, wellbeing workshops, bereavement support, youth work and outreach for the Black community in Sandwell and west Birmingham.
