Volunteer-led charity supporting Saffron Walden Community Hospital with a tea bar, shop and patient comforts.
The League of Friends of Saffron Walden Community Hospital is a registered charity (no. 253505) that financially supports the hospital on Radwinter Road, now part of St Margarets services. Volunteers run a small shop and a daily tea bar in the main corridor, plus coffee mornings and flag days. Recent fundraising includes more than 11,000 pounds for the Get Up, Get Dressed, Get Moving rehabilitation scheme to help patients stay mobile during their stay.
