Trussell-network foodbank covering Salford, distributing emergency three-day food parcels through churches and community centres.
Salford Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust network and provides emergency three-day food parcels to people in crisis across Salford. People are referred by GPs, social prescribers, schools, health visitors and other front-line workers using a voucher system. Distribution centres include St Philips Place, Mustard Tree in Eccles, Salford Central, Walkden, Little Hulton, Pendleton and Swinton. The team also offers signposting to longer-term debt, benefits and housing support so foodbank use can stop being needed.
