Homelessness, addiction and mental health support across Southampton and the south coast.
Founded in 1972, the Society of St James supports around 3,500 people each year across Hampshire and the south coast. From Southampton it runs over 500 bedspaces in hostels, supported housing and care homes, plus a Recovery Hub for substance misuse, managed alcohol service, mental health support and Integrated Offender Management. The SSJ Academy offers training and employment pathways, and social enterprises Cafe in the Park and Jamies Computers provide jobs and routes off the streets.
