Somerset Carers Service is commissioned by Somerset Council and has been delivered by Thrive (formerly Community Council for Somerset) since April 2024. The freephone advice line 0800 31 68 600 supports unpaid carers aged 18 and over. Practical help includes carer checklists, emergency information sheets, online or location-based training, digital inclusion and home aids. Wellbeing offers include carer support groups, mental and physical health resources, and bereavement help for carers transitioning to life after caring.
