Specialist advocacy service for adults with a learning disability across Southend, Castle Point, Rochford and Rayleigh.
Southend Mencap's Advocacy Service supports adults aged 18+ with a learning disability on issues including benefits, accommodation, employment, choices, conflict resolution, money, sexuality and relationships. From April 2025 referrals are made via the Southend Advocacy Hub.

Who they help: Adults with learning disabilities
Eligibility: Adults 18+ with a learning disability in Southend, Castle Point, Rochford or Rayleigh
Area covered: South East Essex
Not suitable for: This service is for people aged 18 and over with a learning disability who live in Southend, Castle Point, Rochford or Rayleigh. From April 2025, all referrals will go through the Southend Advocacy Hub. It is not available to people without a learning disability or who live outside these areas.
