St Augustines Centre in Halifax is Calderdales specialist hub for people seeking sanctuary, including refugees, people seeking asylum and others in need. Since 1968 they have offered a warm welcome, English language classes, free hot lunches, advice drop-ins, employment and integration support, and specialist immigration advice. They also help people register with GPs, navigate the NHS and access mental health support, plus walking, football and cultural groups.
