St Clare Hospice Compassionate Neighbours
Social Connection & Community · Charity/Voluntary Organisation · West Essex
Volunteer befriending project pairing trained neighbours with isolated, frail or seriously ill people across West Essex and East Herts.
St Clare Hospice's Compassionate Neighbours project trains local volunteers to befriend people who are lonely, isolated, frail or living with a serious illness. Visits take place weekly in the person's own home and last about an hour. The project covers Harlow, Epping Forest, Uttlesford and parts of East Hertfordshire. Referrals come through GPs, hospitals and self-referral.
