St Johns Foundation has supported people in Bath since 1174, making it one of the citys oldest charities and one of the UKs largest almshouse providers. Independent-living accommodation is offered to people over 65 on low incomes, and classes and wellbeing activities run for residents and the wider over-55s community. The Foundation also makes individual hardship grants and funds a school readiness programme for young children across Bath and North East Somerset.
