START Hartlepool provides specialist drug and alcohol treatment, harm reduction, needle exchange and recovery support for adults in Hartlepool. The service runs from Whitby Street and offers one-to-one keyworking, structured therapy, prescribing, peer-led recovery groups and family support. Self-referrals and professional referrals are welcomed by phone. The team also works with Hartlepool and Stockton Healths outreach nurses to reach rough sleepers.
