Trussell-network foodbank for Stockport residents in crisis, providing emergency food parcels via referral vouchers.
Stockport Foodbank is a Trussell network foodbank covering the Stockport borough. The team provides emergency three-day food parcels to people in crisis through a voucher referral system. Vouchers are issued by GPs, schools, Citizens Advice, social prescribers, Stockport Homes and other front-line agencies. Several distribution sessions run from community venues across Stockport. Volunteers also signpost to debt advice, mental health support and longer-term help to address the root causes of food crisis.
