Streetlink Chelmsford (rough sleeper outreach)
Advice: Money, Housing & Work · Charity/Voluntary Organisation · Chelmsford
Free national service to alert local outreach teams (CHESS in Chelmsford) about people sleeping rough so they can be supported.
StreetLink is a free national service - website, app and phone line - that lets the public alert local outreach teams when they see someone sleeping rough in England or Wales. Once an alert is submitted with the location and description, StreetLink passes the details to council-commissioned outreach teams who go out late at night or early morning, complete an assessment and connect the person to temporary accommodation or support services. Outcomes are reported back within 14 working days; Chelmsford alerts are routed to the local outreach team.
