Headway is the UK charity for people affected by acquired brain injury, including stroke, accidents, tumours, infections, aneurysm and haemorrhage. The Headway helpline on 0808 800 2244 offers information and emotional support, alongside email and the Headway eAcademy training courses. Local Headway groups and branches across the UK provide one-to-one support, day services, family groups and charity shops. The Brain Injury Identity Card helps holders explain a hidden disability to police, emergency services and others. Open to survivors, families, carers and professionals.
