Peterborough's only specialist palliative care inpatient hospice, with hospice at home, day services and bereavement support.
Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice in Longthorpe is the only specialist palliative care inpatient unit in Peterborough. The consultant-led team includes doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, complementary therapists, occupational therapists and healthcare assistants who design personalised care plans. A Hospice at Home service runs seven days a week for people who would rather be cared for at home, offering symptom management, personal care and emotional support, alongside a wellbeing and community support service for families.

Eligibility: Adults in Peterborough and surrounding areas living with a life-limiting illness.
Area covered: Peterborough
Not suitable for: Referrals come via GPs, district nurses or specialist hospital teams - this is not a walk-in service. Children should be referred to EACH. Cambridgeshire residents may also be served by Arthur Rank Hospice.
