Suffolk's independent mental health charity offering counselling, Open Space wellbeing groups, training, GreenCare allotments and supported housing across the county.
Suffolk Mind is the countys independent mental health charity. It runs counselling, anxiety management, eating recovery, Long COVID support, Menopause & Me, Suffolk Work Well workplace support, supported housing and Waves for borderline personality disorder, plus a new Bereaved by Suicide service. Open Space groups, GreenCare allotments and Suffolk Night Owls cover Bury St Edmunds, Felixstowe, Haverhill, Ipswich, Saxmundham and Sawston. Who it's for
Who they help: Adults with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, people seeking peer connection, employers and groups
Eligibility: Adults aged 18+ living in Suffolk for counselling; Open Space groups open to anyone 16+.
Area covered: East Suffolk
Not suitable for: Suffolk Mind cannot provide crisis care; in a mental-health emergency people should contact the NHS 111 service (press option 2). Counselling is for adults aged 18+ only and currently has a fee with low-income concessions available.
