Independent charity providing free advice, support groups and respite information for unpaid carers of all ages in Sunderland.
Established in 1994, Sunderland Carers Centre supports unpaid young and adult carers across the city. The team offers information, advice and a listening ear, monthly support groups including young carers, male carers, parent carers, transition groups and coalfield carers, formal carers assessments, training and special opportunities. The charity is part of the Carers Trust network and works closely with health, education and social care partners across all six Sunderland PCNs.
