Long-running befriending project matching trained volunteers with isolated older Sutton residents.
Sutton Befrienders is the flagship project of Volunteer Centre Sutton, matching vetted volunteers with isolated older people and adults with support needs. The centre also runs MAPS Mentoring, health navigation, benefits form-filling, advocacy and community Volunteer Squads, plus dedicated refugee and migrant projects with Ukrainian community events and Refugee Week celebrations. Volunteers can sign up through the Volunteer Hub for ongoing or one-off roles.
