Free confidential drop-in service supporting unpaid carers in Tameside with assessments, benefits advice and respite activities.
Tameside Carers Centre supports people looking after a relative or friend of any age who is ill, disabled or frail. The team carries out Carers Assessments, gives advice on Carers Allowance and other benefits, runs coffee mornings and signposts to local advocacy and social groups. Drop-in sessions run Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday 10am-2pm, with no appointment needed. Home visits, phone and email support are available if a carer cannot get to Tameside One.
